This is a portrait I did for my niece's birthday. I really like the way it turned out. I wanted the focus to be her eyes, so therefore I didnot spend much effort on some of the other features, ie. clothes. I did however spend a huge amount of time on her hair, which I feel is alot better than what I have done up to this point...but I'm still learning. I hope to do more pics of her and my other nieces in the future. Anyway, I look forward to comments. Thanks
Oh yeah, my scanner sucks. The original is alot better. Especially towards the bottom of the pic. The scanner just completely lost all of the texture and tone of the shirt and neck. Did I mention my scanner sucks???
Very nice picture! I really don't understand how can some artists drawing hair in such a realistic way!

ty very much!!! Tho I am still learning to draw hair, I have to say the most important aspect of the process is patience...and lots of it...very tedious process... lol
beautiful drawing (really cute kid, too!), you did just fine on the hair, quite realistic... but you achieved what you were going for: the eyes are the best part
y ty....I sent it off in the mail the same day i posted it. And immediately i wish i couldve gotten it back. The bottom part of the picture is horrible and just needed another hour or so of layering and wouldve scanned much better. The original isnt as bad, but still not where it shouldve been. Anyway, thx for the nice comments.
y ty very much...i was pleased the way the eyes turned out and the hair also for the most part. However, I am really really disappointed with myself for not taking the extra time to develop the clothing more....tx again for the nice comments...
